The Quiet Struggle of Waiting - Hope and Doubt

Waiting is one of the hardest part of life. Waiting for a job offer; waiting for results; waiting for an approval; waiting for a breakthrough to happen; or waiting for things to finally make sense. Waiting is tough because it feels passive, uncertain, and most times, lonely. You are doing your best, putting your all into something, yet, nothing seems to be working or moving. And in those quiet moments, self doubt has a way of getting loud. What makes waiting very difficult is that time keeps moving whether we get the answers we are expecting or not. Days pass, expectations rise, and frustration builds. It’s easy to feel stuck or forgotten. But waiting, while uncomfortable, is not a wasted time, unless we allow it to be. Don’t Count Your Days — Make Your Days Count

  Every day arrives quietly, without promises. It doesn’t announce whether it will be ordinary or unforgettable. The choice to make it unforgettable or ordinary belongs to us. A single day can hold growth, courage, kindness, learning, rest, or progress, even when it feels so small. Making your days count doesn’t mean doing something grand everyday, no. It means showing up with intention and hope, even when motivation is low. It means choosing effort over excuses, presence over distraction, and purpose over the autopilot of life. It’s easy to fall into the habit of counting days. We count it down to weekends, birthdays, holidays, paydays, or "better times". We tell ourselves, "Just a few more days", as if life is something we are waiting for before we live. But the truth is, life isn’t found in the number of days we survive, it’s found in what we do with the days we are given. When we only count days, we live on a pause. We postpone joy, healing, dreams, and courage....
