The Reality of Adulthood Nobody Prepared Us For
When I was younger, I used to think that once you become an adult, life somehow becomes clear and easy. I imagined that by a certain age, I would have everything figured out; a stable life, a family, a home, clear decisions, and a strong sense of direction. Unfortunately, adulthood is nothing like the picture we were given. One of the hardest things I’ve realized is that nobody really prepares you for how overwhelming it can feel sometimes. There are bills to pay, responsibilities that never seem to end, and days when you feel like you are carrying so much on your own. Some mornings you wake up tired, not just physically but mentally and emotionally, still trying to figure things out while the world expects you to have it all together. Another reality that hits hard is seeing life move at different speeds for different people.
