When Patience Becomes a Prison

  We often think failure comes from giving up too soon. But sometimes, it comes from waiting too long. The truth is that it doesn't looks like a failure at first. It looks like patience. Like giving things time. Like being hopeful that things will eventually work out. But the sad reality is that not everything gets better with time. While growing up, we were taught to always be patient. To just give it time, to hold on a little longer, to trust the process. Which reminds me of the saying, "the patient dog eats the fattest bone." I've seen people stay in situations that drained them, both mentally and emotionally, jobs that no longer felt right, environments that stopped helping them grow, places where they had to constantly prove their worth, hoping that one day they would be seen.  They didn't stay because they were weak, no. They stayed because they believed that maybe with time, things would change. Or maybe they just needed more time. Or worse, maybe they were...
